To help better understand gay men’s sexual self-labels
This research study is for all the gay science geeks out there! The manuscript is as long and detailed as the title indicates. It was submitted to and published by PMC for the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), US National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The journal publication details research by David A. Moskowitz and Trevor A. Hart who studied gay and bisexual men and the self labels they assign to themselves regarding their anal penetrative role (i.e., bottom or exclusively receptive; top or exclusively insertive; or versatile, both receptive and insertive during anal intercourse).
The goal of the research was to help better understand gay men’s sexual self-labels.
We won’t give away the study’s results, as it’s an interesting read… and you’ll want to read this study for yourself and find out!
