Wow! Aspen Gay Ski Week (AGSW)! What to say?! This AspenOUT-presented event is a must for every LGBTQ+ who is into skiing and snowboarding!
FUN ON + OFF THE SLOPES
And, sure, you can join in the fun if you aren’t a snow bunny (maybe a day at the spa … maybe a day sitting by the fireplace catching up on your reading list), but the real fun is getting to ski and board alongside all the fabulous LGBTQ+ winter sports aficionados in the country, and then party alongside them for Après-Ski (a.k.a. Happy Hour on the slopes) and all the planned nighttime parties.
LIMELIGHT
For AGSW, The BB Team and friends stayed at the host hotel (Limelight Downtown Aspen), which is super expensive but well worth it. The hotel itself is a luxury hotel that pulled out all the stops (gourmet room service, super attentive staff, free shuttle transportation to the airport and ski areas).
APRÈS-SKI HOT TUB HOTTIES
But after each ski day, Limelight pretty much turned into a party; this was around 4pm each day when Après-Ski started in the hotel bar.
We typically started each day of Après-Ski in the hotel’s hot tub (that’s where all the shirtless hotties were, plus it was easier to chat with folks because there wasn’t a bunch of DJ music drowning out the conversation), and eventually made our way to the Limelight’s Après-Ski dance party. Fun was had by all in the hot tub (mums the word) and afterward in the Limelight bar.
LATE-NIGHT PARTIES
Other AGSW planned events included late-night dance parties (opening night event, white party), celebrity drag shows (Bob the Drag Queen, Monét X Change anyone?), and group ski events (planned events at nearby ski resorts where you can meet other folks and ski with them).
Our group attended most of these, and they were all super fun!! All the events can be paid for a la carte, but our recommendation is to purchase one of AGSW’s passes.
VIP
We purchased the VIP pass which included a bottle service table for the grande dame event of the week, the Downhill Costume Contest! This is a MUST SEE event … and if you’re VIP, you will get the best view and have an amazing time! Trust!
If you decide to hit up AGSW, be sure to make some reservations at some of their amazing restaurants! Your pocket book might be yelling at you, but there’s some amazing cuisine in this town. And you don’t want to miss out! See you next year January 15-22, 2023!

We are a fundraiser for AspenOUT, a registered 501c3 non-profit. All profits raised during AGSW go right back to the LGBTQ+ community via grants, scholarships, and programs. Hands down, we have the best skiing, most inclusive attendees, and diverse programming during a winter LGBTQ+ event.
